Safeguarding

Providing a safe space for all.

St Barnabas takes very seriously the safeguarding and care of children, young people and vulnerable adults involved in church activities.

DBS checks are carried out for anyone who interacts with children and for other individuals, as required.

Safeguarding means protecting people’s health, wellbeing and human rights and enabling them to live from harm, abuse and neglect.

Any concerns can be raised with our Safeguarding Officer and/or our Vicar, who will follow the Southwark Diocesan Safeguarding Policy.

The Diocesan policies and procedures can be found in the manual 'A Safe Church'.
